Welcome to our Wiley Woolies Website! We are an angora rabbit farm in SE Michigan, producing beautiful Angora Wool and fiber products, and of course world class German Angora Breeding Stock. Take a look around our site, it is still under construction but growing every day...
- We are long-time members of the International Association of German Angora Rabbit Breeders (IAGARB) and our livestock are treated as beloved family pets. Each angora rabbit is hand sheared every 3 months with scissors and electric clippers. The process is quick and easy on the rabbit. And because Angora wool is seven times warmer than sheep's wool, (due to its extremely fine texture and air trapping abilities) our rabbits are greatly relieved to have all this fiber is removed. After shearing they play more, eat more, and sometimes even kick up their heels with glee at being shorn!
- Wool from our rabbits is either spun into yarn, carded into roving or batting. or felted into fine, dense fabric. Angora may be blended with other fine luxury fibers, and dyed to produce a wide range of colors and textures for yarns, felt and finished goods .
